These wine soaked oak pieces are cut from retired Virginia red wine barrels. After years of soaking up wine, the barrels are disassembled and the staves are cut into small pieces. These chips are then packaged for BBQ and grilling.
Instructions: Soak a few chips in water for about a half an hour before you need them.
If your gas grill doesnt have a built in smoker, you can make your own by wrapping the soaked chips in tinfoil and poking a few holes in the wrapper before grilling.
The chips are bagged ready for a perfect gift. The bags are 13" high and 4"deep by 6 " wide. Each bag has about 1 1/2 pounds of chips.
