Fredericksburg Craft Faire April 6 & 7th

This past weekend my wife Kristin and I attended the Fredericksburg Spring Arts & Craft. This event was the the 7th annual Spring event and is held indoors at the Fredericksburg Convention Center. Vendors display their handcrafted artwork, pottery, bath products, jewelry, woodwork, gourmet foods, and much more. Many are unique gifts, however we have noticed a fair amount of wholesale goods that are resold.

Our booth was a corner booth which we prefer as this allows us to display our products of two sides.

We have added a new product to our line, a hanging candle/flower sconce. Kristin has created a lattice wall which is where we hang the sconces.

Kristin also takes pride in her barrel stave candle holders. A seperate table in the booth is where she displays these.

Overall the show was very light on attendees. Both Saturday and Sunday were very nice outside which may have contributed to the light attendance.

My wife and I are always lookig for ways to update and make our booth better in order to display our products well. The lattice wall was a last minute addition prior to the show and is made from plastic lattice and pressure treateddecking boards cut down and slotted. The goal was to have 3 sections, however I couldn't complete the thrid section in time for the event. Today I finished the third section and stained all three with a red oak finish.

Now we can test out the new display at the next show.
